It wouldn't surprise me if San was already scuba certified, it might even be one of the reasons he was chosen for this mission. San grew up in a coastal village, so he has been in and out of water, most likely, for the majority of his life.

Don't worry, they didn't fly out just for this. Their first KCON LA was that weekend and they did some press as well. I also love this show. The excitement of sharks and the feels as well. Capped off with the joy of a park full of ATINY. Yes.

It would make sense for them to pick San because of all that. I didn't know he grew up in a coastal village. Something we have in common.

Seeing the sincere interactions between the members and their parents is so sweet, it made me tear up ... but then when I thought about my interactions with my parents I burst out laughing. I make a point of telling my parents how grateful I am to them as often as I can, and saying thank you all the time, so its not that. Its that as I've grown up and my relationship with my parents have grown with me, the nature of it has changed too. I was my parents' little girl, and now I'm their 21-year-old 6ft giant, highly independent trouble maker, who calls her dad "old man" and her mom "shmama-lama" ... and we all love it. We roast each other daily, have playful banter, but most importantly we are reciprocally there for each other when needed and know that we can communicate about anything - no matter how difficult - completely truthfully and honestly, free of judgement. I love my parents, so much, and I wouldn't want to change them for the world, not even for Ateez.

Very glad to hear that the transition from a child-child to an adult-child of your parents has been a good one. It can be a pretty fraught era in the parent/child relationship as everyone re-learns how to interact with each other when the "rules" have been changed.
