Love these interviews. They really know how to make them fun too. You're right, Lee Know really checked out during these interviews, especially in the Maniac era. I know he kinda overdid it in the end of year stuff, I can't help wondering if he wasn't just really tired too . And when he's not feeling it...he's not feeling it. Hyunjin and he are a bit alike in that way. ANyway, Lee Know proved recently that he understands English pretty well. An interpreter at a concert made a mistake in translating his words and he immediately picked up on it. It proved to me that he understands quite well. but I know from personal experience that a lot of time goes by between understanding a language well and actually speaking it. And then the jump to speaking in a group is even bigger. And this is on tv. I remember sitting in a room full of people and being able to follow it all, but by the time I'd formulated a sentence in my head....conversation had already moved on. So I was pretty quiet. I can't imagine having a camera in front of me. They're all amazing with their language skills. Hard hard work. The last interview with the kids....too too cute. Had to laugh at your reaction to the kangaroo. No, don't look that up on YouTube...LOLOL. And Chan's reaction to the whole 2013 thing...too funny. You're right!!!! That IS his look with "his kids". LOL. So fun to see you catch up with these interviews!!

The number of times that i have had to tell people when i was living in japan that i was NOT american but from australia.... yes, its annoyingly common that almost all white presenting people are assumed as americans. Probably because of media. Partially because americans are one of the more numerous tourists in japan. Potentially because of japans occupation by america (i have no idea how that shaped their understanding of foreigners as a whole). But yeah. Most people got very excited when they learnt i was australian instead
