I 100% agree that kingdom really raised the bar when it comes to music competition shows for me. Not that i ever really watched western ones, but i certainly wont be watching them now because they all fall horribly short in comparison to this. I really love how much Chan ALWAYS tries to acknowledge and include everyone. From thanking the dancers and stylists and makeup artists, to making a custom speech to include all the other teams just in case they won. Such special people.

Music competitions will never be the same for me. Just watching someone standing in place on an empty stage in front of a panel of judges? Nah.

I guess I became a patron at the right time haha. Meant I could watch these all in a short amount of time. Really like that you watched and reacted to this show with an open mind to all groups, not just your own favourite(s). It actually made me look at a few of the others with a new look, especially certain performances. First time I watched it, even though I knew the result, I got drawn in the the tense moments way too much and started getting nervous for Stray Kids, as if they could still lose (yeah I know - weird). That changed a bit, but I haven't watched the entire series after that, just parts, and so it was really cool watching it in its entirety through your reaction. Loved what you said about BtoB when they talked about the future, as an older band, possibly past their prime in Kpop. The music industry is hard enough, in Kpop it seems even harder. But I think, as you said, that it might be changing with the global recognition. And yes, it's nice to watch a group that is getting a little older (to me BtoB are still so so young) with maybe more relatable things to make songs about. I am curious to see where BtoB will go in the future (have already been following them a little now, won't say I'm a baby-Melody yet...but might get there). One thing I wanted to mention: when I watched the show I thought it was the global voting that had won Stray Kids the crown. And it was actually a criticism they got. People said that others would have won if their companies were bigger with better ways of promoting their idols. But a friend told me that it wasn't just the global voting. She had actually done the math after all the results of the votes were online. Even without the global voting Stray Kids had won. I think, I'm talking from memory, it was 1. Stray Kids, 2. BtoB, 3. Ateez if you just looked at the expert votes and the self evaluation. The Boyz were the ones who profited from the global voting and BtoB lost their 2nd place to them. Ateez remained steady at the 3rd place. Pretty cool for the youngest group there. Thanks for making this a very fun time to watch this show again!!

Thanks for binging the whole thing! I'm really interested to see what happens to some of the popular groups as they all come back from their military service and enter and older, more matured state of life. It's probably because I'm getting older myself. Seeing the energy and originality of the younger groups is great, but I do like seeing older groups succeed, especially with Kpop actually having songs with lyrics that... well, that mean something. They actually sing about real stuff.

Nice binge~ Very nice show that made me interested in Ateez. I'm still planning on getting into Ateez. Its fun how idk anything about them but already kinda have a bias and bias wrecker ahhahah San seems like an exceptional performer and just by judging from personalities, I think Wooyoung might be also a strong candidate I really love Bang Chan's ending words, how he added all the group's new songs title into it~ Feels so united~

Chan did put a lot of thought into that. Very cool that he thinks about that kind of stuff. ATEEZ is a fun group. I'm still deciding on my bias wrecker, but I settled on Mingi as my bias.
