Ahahaha very much have the same feeling of relating to lyrics like these way more! Me and my husband met when we were 13 and 15 and were very close friends for many years while all our mutual friends were like "Mhm okay suuree yeah you guys are totally just friends. You absolute idiots." We swore up and down that it was just a friendship for years while both still actively choosing not to date other people 😂 Definitely had to have serious conversations as well before that transition cause after so many years and already being so deeply embedded in each other lives, it was less of a question of "do we want to date?" and more a question of "so.....are we gonna get married or what?" Also love the vibe of this song!! It suits his voice so so well. And you're so right, if there's ever a situation in which I could be convinced to read Moby Dick, it would be V recording an audio book for it 😂 And every time I watch the ending with his little smile at the camera I just have to make the same expression in response. It's mandatory.
