Changes and Big thanks to all of you ! (Patreon)

Hey everyone, 

March has been the most successful month since the start of BirdieMaps!
We made a big jump from 25 to over 38 Patrons (+68%)! THIS IS INCREDIBLE! 

So thanks to all of you come over to join our community! And a big thanks to all who stayed with us so far! This really shows that you all like the stuff i create. And that makes me so happy and motivates me to keep on doing my best!

Switch to webpage

I switched from .png image to .webp images. Those files are way smaller (-80%) than standard png-files. There is absolutely no visible loss in quality, even for me not noticable. It also reduced drastically the loading time in foundry for my group especially for larger maps. Some of the upcoming maps are still in png format depending on when they were created but most maps will now be webpage images. 

If you have trouble opening them: Try out to open them in your browser. This should normally work otherwise try out GIMP2 or Paint. If you still have trouble, just let me know and i provide to you the png file for it.  

Free Maps

Even though we are still small, i have found my maps shared across the internet illegally. Additionally i noticed that some people become patron and cancel it immediately to gain access to all maps. This is technically not illegal but in my opinion not the kind of support i was expecting from patreon since it is more a kind of selling the maps. Therefore i decided to provide all maps in the basic day variant for free. 

Additional Maps

I recently recieved a few more comissions on sci-fi / cyberpunk maps. As the last time i will release them as additional maps per week (wednesdays).
