Jinx really got herself into trouble this time.

Hey everyone. It's been a while so I thought I'd make a post to let you know I'm still here while sharing something that I made recently. I've been taking things easy for a bit since I announced my plans to retire. I've mostly been just sketching some stuff but there's also an art trade that I've been quietly working away on in the background too. It's probably going to take a little while longer before I can share with you all the stuff I've made for the art trade but in the meantime I hope you can enjoy this sequential strip that I sketched up. I had fun drawing some more of Raven.

I couldn't decide if I liked the strip when it included Jinx's reaction in the last panel or if it's better to leave out Jinx's reaction to make that final panel feel more ominous so I decided to just give you both versions. Bonus points too to anyone that happens to recognize what Jinx's reaction is referencing.

Amazing art as always, I do quite like how you've made things look with just black and white here, and yeah, feel free to take your time with things, no worries about making us wait As for which ending looks better, I think it works better without the shot of Jinx's expression, but it does fit if you're going for a punchline

Jinx’s Aqua reaction… honestly, I don’t know is magical crocodiles wanting to devour you inside of a cage is scarier, or being in front of perfection - angry - is far more scarier?😳💦

Thanks. I had fun doing the shading here. I agree the ending with Jinx's reaction gives it more of a punchline feel which was what I liked about it.

I'll go out on a limb and say an angry Raven looming over you is far more intimidating but I may be biased in thinking that lol.

Maybe Jinx would be able to enjoy the view if she knew she wasn't about to be on the receiving end of an angry Raven.

Probably not but that's probably deliberate on Raven's part to put the pressure on her. Make Jinx sweat things out even more as she struggles to find a way to communicate to Raven and explain herself to her.

I like to imagine Wasp doing this to some villain to make them talk. Hope to see a little more of her. By the way, a question, does making this sketches and B/W drawings cause you the anxiety you talked about or does it come more from the fully colored pictures?

Definitely making me think Jinx tucked someone away somewhere. If raven gets her answers I'm sure she'll be needing to keep her somewhere close so she doesn't try and get away >:)

I'll see if it's possible if I can sketch something for Wasp but I'll likely be doing Raven stuff. Sketching stuff has been mostly been a fun thing for me to do at the moment. And I do think things in general have been going better for me now that I'm no longer forcing myself to work on art and just allowing myself to draw stuff when I'm naturally in the mood for it. I think doing the full color pictures may be a bit mentally draining for me to do due to how much of a time consuming process it is be for me to make them. That being said though I hope to do a few full color pics in the coming months.

I get you. Im way less skilled compared to you, but the same does happen to me. Lineart is fun, but shading and coloring not so much, even if the end result does look better. Dont force your self to color. Even with just B/W i think everyone loves your drawings, unless its a raven one, in which case you probably would want the colored one anyway lol. I don’t think it’s just that. There have been images that you done of her that make effective use of her traits to their fullest, that make her shine. You don’t treat her like an object, you treat her like a craftsman does their tools. The figure, the pose, the shading. You SLAMMED her fist on one panel, then you gently drop Jinx, only for Jinx (and us, the viewer) to see what WE see. An awe-inspired image of might, beauty, and power. Paired with quiet gazes or subtle gestures (such as shading), you don’t need to go so far as a Frank Miller (thank goodness you DON’T) does to get a desired result. The images speak for themselves.😦 … (((😦)))

Your art style will always be, to me, the definitive Teen Titans fan-style. You manage to perfectly encapsulate the design while adding to it - particularly in sexy ways. It sucks that you'll be retiring but I wish you all the best and I'm excited to see what you have for us before you go.

I have never seen another artist able to draw scale that I can feel with the same intensity as a VR headset. Literally you're such a master at it and this is no exception.
