Jo was changed into an oiran, a Japanese prostitute, by ancient dark sorcery. He became the passive servant of a Yakuza and he showed him what it was like to be a woman.  The Yakuza called him "Yujo" and whatever became of the person named "Jo" faded into oblivion.   He was a new woman now and had the personal gear to show it.
