If something is breaky, consider starting a new game.

Primary changes:

  • New area: Yuug Portswood Isle. One hour of in game time after completing the goblin groper vine quest, a boat will appear that takes you to the isle.
  • New 2-part quest line related to the isle.
  • Lots of new texts.
  • Added weather
  • Added a sleep system and the ability to rent a room at the tavern
  • Added 3 new monster types, one boss, and a mini boss.


Minor changes:

  • Improved scans of the text DB as it's getting pretty large. Game should be much more responsive thanks to this.
  • Also improved the UI rendering code which should increase responsiveness.
  • NPCs sadism stat now determines if they'll use attack more than arouse.
  • Fixed issues related to cocktopus latch.
  • Adjusted some values of player spells and abilities.
  • Buffed the HP of the imp bosses.
  • Replaced the particle engine, the new one should run a bit smoother
  • Added a few new armor templates
  • Stat points on armor are now allocated in 1-2 secondary stats and 1 primary stat.


What's next for FQ:

Quest-wise I'd like to work more on the main story, I just haven't figured out where you should go next. Most likely you'll go to the capital of Yuug to talk about the person you found in the first quest. There, the player should also be able to visit their class guild. I'd like to focus on actually implementing a proper spell learning system, with spell slots. I have a few rough ideas, but it needs a lot of thought before implementing anything. The update is also going to require a copious amount of mesh models for the city, so that'll take a while.
