The Loyalty Token for the coming month is the mighty Crownbreaker Arch-Wyvern, a ferocious brawler fighting its way up the food chain to claim the title of apex predator!

Attracted by the sound of fighting,  Crownbreaker Arch-Wyverns crash into ongoing battles in an attempt to triumph over both sides of the conflict. They attack relentlessly, using the  brunt of their muscular body to overwhelm their chosen foes with an endless barrage of full-contact physical attacks.

Crownbreakers draw strength from these challenges, growing in power with each defeated opponent, increasing their maximum hit points in relation to the strength of the slain foe.

This makes for an interesting underlying narrative, as Wyvern and players could clash several times over the course of an adventure, with both parties growing in power between each altercation.

In combat, the Crownbreakers behave like wrestlers in scale armor, using their draconic body as a weapon to pummel their prey into the ground.
As they are used to fighting other creature's home turf, they are experts in using their surroundings against their opponents- going so far as to claiming lair actions as their own.

When cornered, Crownbreakers can fall back on a powerful, but risky tactic - they can flood their systems with a potent mix of combat steroids and hormones, drawing from the accumulated strength and dealing permanent damage to their physiology, but dramatically increasing their regeneration in the short term and becoming even more brutal in combat.

This lowers their maximum hit points, so the Crownbreaker needs to challenge and slay some worthy opponents while weakened to get back in the saddle - a dangerous game, but one that old and grizzled Crownbreakers have perfected.

These veteran Wyverns are known to invade the domains of powerful beings such as dragons or giants in their eternal hunt for the top of the pyramid.

A fight against a Crownbreaker Arch-Wyvern will be high octane, brutal and intense, as this creature will put its entire weight into every punch, every shoulder barge, bodyslam and bite.

As always, there will be a host of themed magic items and a whole bunch of modular lair actions so that you can use the Wyvern's knack for environmental kills to its fullest!
