5.3 - Development Update (Patreon)
Content
Another week, another development update. Let's get right to it with a status breakdown:
5.3.2 Update Status
- New Conversation System Engine - 100%
- New Conversation System Content - 90%
- New Exploration System Engine - 100%
- New Exploration System Content - 20%
- Patron Submitted Content - 0%
We're almost done writing up the conversation content for all characters in the game, for this release. The room exploration is expected to take less time, and we're still on track for an early July release.
The most important change in this update isn't the content being added for conversations, but rather the engine on which conversations are built. See, in the past it was always really cumbersome to give characters things to talk about. With the new update, adding new content for both conversations and explorations becomes incredibly simple, and as a result you can expect expansions in these areas with each update. What you'll be seeing in 5.3.2, in terms of content, is effectively the base version of these systems.
In addition to the key points above, I'm also looking at adding a couple other quality of life features in this update, including:
- Ability to dose Ava on most evenings
- Ability to skip work days once the main story has ended (Thanks TheMGA for the suggestion)
- Restoring the original "Shemale" gender image if the MC meets criteria for it
Unfortunately, this Summer brought with it a number of complications that have impacted development time, so I appreciate everyone's understanding as I work to release the final update in the 5.3 update cycle.
As soon as its release, work begins on the 5.4 - Ms. Dee update, and I'm excited to start sharing information on that! Also expect to see another artwork post in the coming weeks showing off the conversation system with art integration. I'm also starting to put together a feature roadmap (different than the usual update roadmap) which will hopefully answer several of the "Will you add X to the game? When?" questions, so look forward to that!
That's it for this week. As always, thank you all for your continued feedback and support.
