As is my way, I've managed to take a system I was happy with and over-complicate the hell out of it. The bad news is, implementing these changes will take time. The good news is, I think it'll be worth it!
Wardrobe Expansion
Two new slots have been added to the wardrobe: Accessory (Front) and Accessory (Back). These are slots to accommodate various sexual accessories that will have a direct impact on transformation and how scenes play out. These currently include:
- Chastity Cage (Male, Sissy, Trans, Shemale) - Adds chastity content to the game. Right now, this is something that will be "forced" onto you, meaning you won't be able to remove it yourself. This will push the sissification transformations.
- Strap-on (Female, Bimbo) - Female characters can wear a strap-on as an accessory under their clothes. This will affect sex scenes and events, and push transformations toward the Shemale gender state.
- Vaginal Inserts (Female, Bimbo) - Affects sex scenes and events and will push Female characters towards the Bimbo state.
- Anal Inserts (All) - Butt plugs, tails, etc. These will affect sex scenes and events, push Male characters towards Sissy and Trans states, and Female characters towards the Bimbo state.
These are only the first few options, and should give you a level of customization over how scenes play out, and better control over your transformation route!
Transformation Routes
So let's talk about that, and this is where I managed to fuck up a perfectly passable solution... but in a good way.
When I original built the new system, it was linear. Males gradually become more feminine and females gradually became more masculine. It worked, but it didn't feel very interesting, and the incremental stages between starting and ending states felt awkward.
The way it worked was simple: Events during the day would increase a TF counter. That counter would be added to your total TF value at night, and if that value met or exceeded a TF Milestone value, you'd move into the next TF tier, and the whole thing would reset for the next tier.
Well that's sort of still the system that's in place now... only times 6.
The transformation "tier" system is gone, and there is only a single milestone to meet, and it can be met multiple times to trigger multiple non-linear transformations. This is handled by 6 different TF counters, versus the initial single one. Now, events during the day will trigger "specific" TF values, with a slight degree of variance. At the end of the day, all 6 values will be increased by their counters, and if any one of them passes the TF Milestone value, THAT'S how your character will transform. Once transformed, there will be a window of time where characters will react to your new gender state (currently 3 days) and after that it's business as usual.
It sounds complicated but it works pretty seamlessly. Basically, do girly things, wake up girly. Now onto those actual gender states:
- Male (TF to Sissy, Trans) - Standard issue human male
- Sissy (TF to Trans, Shemale) - Submissive, feminine and flaccid. Think Sarina Valentina
- Trans (TF to Sissy, Shemale, Male) - Natural transgirl. Still functional and not necessarily submissive. Still capable of being dominant and topping if desired. Think Natalie Mars
- Shemale (TF to Trans, Female, Sissy) - Big fake boobs and big hard cock. Think Danialle Foxxx or Bailey Jay
- Female (TF to Shemale, Bimbo) - Standard issue human female
- Bimbo (TF to Shemale, Female) - More of a hybrid state, as it shares gender variable with Female. Will affect available content and change some scenes and events. More of a physical change, and won't affect main character's intelligence
The Next Update
Sounds like a lot, right? So where does that leave the next update? Well, the good news is that all the above changes are implemented, meaning the work comes in the form of editing existing scenes to account for said changes. This is pretty huge, as something as simple as "You reach down and start masturbating" now turns into a page and a half worth of possible variants on that action!
The biggest impact of this change is that the conversation and exploration systems have been moved to the back burner until this system has been fully propagated throughout the existing content. I don't want to give an ETA on when that will be. What I DO need, are people testing the game with these changes going into effect.
Next week, no later than Friday, I'll be releasing a test build to all patrons which includes no less that 8 available random events, the wardrobe system, the transformation system, and the beginning of the TF system's impact on the existing content. This shouldn't be considered the 5.1 release, but will be a huge step towards getting there!
