Chapter 2 Progress:

  I'll be honest, September's been a much busier month than I expected and development is moving a little slower than I'd like. Chapter 2 is still moving along, though, and I still expect to have it out pretty soon here, though I may miss this weekend as a target release date. I've rushed a few too many updates out the door, and I'd like to get this one right.

  As far as progress is concerned, all the groundwork is laid and at this point it's a matter of actually getting all the content written. It's like having a comic book filled with empty boxes and bubbles, waiting to be fed words. I'm not going to promise you'll be playing Alpha 5.0.0 this weekend, but I can promise that, barring any catastrophes, it will be out this month.

Bullet-Point Items:

  So I wanted to go over a few random things, and this might get into some spoiler territory so if you don't want to know what's coming, maybe look away!

On Alpha 5.0.0:

  • That 5.0.0 part wasn't a typo. Starting with Alpha 4.8.1, I'll be moving to a more sensible naming convention
  • Once the main story events for Chapter 2 are written, I'll be working on various side-scenes prior to release
    • Penny and John will get their routes extended
    • Tasha will become a social contact, like Penny
    • There will be a couple more chances to spend time with Sophie
    • Diana’s Chapter 2 route will be concluded
    • Julia’s dialogue will be cleaned up a bit

On The Future:

  • Chapter 2 will raise the stakes a bit, while also illuminating more of the upper echelons of The Company. There will be a new transitional scene after Chapter 1 ends that will return to the game’s prologue
  • Chapter 3 will be the game’s final chapter, and it’s going to be big! We’ll be going way up into The Company’s hierarchy for this one. I’ve brought in a friend who works as a business applications consultant for a large corporation to help with the structure of everything
  • After 5.0.0 is released, my update schedule will likely slow down. I only get an hour or two a night to work on the game, and the stress to release content quickly is becoming noticeable
  • I intend to move out of alpha and into beta once Chapter 3 is finished being written, and you can play through the entire game and reach an ending
    • The game will remain in beta until all endings are written and all bugs are ironed out
    • Once the game leaves beta, that’ll most likely be it as far as development goes, but that’s too far off to say for sure
      • I’m “hoping” to have a release candidate ready in Q1 of next year

On Player Transformation:

  • I’m bound by the limitations of available media since I’ve chosen to use actual people for the game’s imagery
    • I think this was the right choice, but it does mean there’s some fetishes I can’t really tackle despite wishing I could
    • This is why we can’t have nice things, and why Tasha isn’t going to be a futa
  • Player transformation options will be limited based on your starting gender, and can be unlocked via different relationship paths
    • Dominant Male - Basically just play the game normally
    • Submissive Male / Sissification - Submit to John and follow that path
    • Willing TS / Feminization - Follow Chris’s path
    • Dominant Female - Avoid submitting to John and end Chris’s path early
    • Submissive Female - Follow John’s path or Chris’s path
    • Dominant Shemale - Play as a Female and increase masculinity when able
  • I don’t currently plan on adding a dominant female for the player to submit to, as I’ve already hit my quota on characters. That said, following down John’s path will result several of the female characters taking dominant roles in your life
  • Alpha 5.1.X will focus on going back and refining existing content again
    • Specifically, this will focus almost solely on recognizing player gender changes and modifying scenes and conversations accordingly

On Specific Characters:

  • Penny
    • Penny is my favorite character
    • Following her path to the end will greatly affect the end of the game
    • Inversely, following John’s dom path will lock out most of Penny’s events, preventing you from pursuing her further
      • This will also considerably change your interactions with her in general
  • Diana
    • Diana’s character mostly serves as a vehicle to deliver auxiliary story elements, and also so I can have Diana Prince in my game…
    • That said, she’ll play an important role in Chapter 3, and following her route may be worthwhile!
  • Tasha
    • For a long time I didn’t really know what I wanted to do with Tasha
    • While it’s unlikely she’ll have any really major impact on the story, her scenes with you and John in various contexts will be a lot of fun
    • I tend to see her as your “sub” in the game
      • Incidentally, “John” ends up her sub if played right
  • John
    • John probably needs his own dedicated write-up…
    • Playing through his dom route will have major impacts on how the story plays out, and how other characters interact with you
    • I have a hard time writing for John, but I guess that shows through his personality, so, good job me?
    • I fully intend to revisit how John’s dom route is triggered, as it’s currently a little clunky. This will come in the 5.1.X series of updates
  • Julia
    • Julia seemed like a really good idea early on, but then ended up not actually having anything to do
    • Her dosage route went through several iterations before finally settling on a role for her
    • Her importance will pick up exponentially in Chapter 2
    • Alpha 5.0.0 will fix her dose dialogue
  • Sophie
    • Sophie Dee is one of my favorite adult actresses of all time. It’s those eyes!
    • In Chapter 1 and 2 she’s somewhat aloof and chances to interact with her are rare. This will change in Chapter 3, which will further explore her role in The Company and give you more time to spend together
    • Her dose route isn’t “shaped” like other characters. Instead, you’ll get three different choices every time you dose her, and the combination will determine how she plays out at the end of the game
  • Mom and Sister
    • In Alpha 0.1.0, your sister was Sadie Kennedy and your mom was Cory Chase. Finding enough media for Sadie proved challenging, so I switched her out for a more prolific actress
    • Sadie and Cory can still be seen when your sister brings you a movie to watch together at night
    • As Chapter 3 progresses, there will be opportunities for your family to interact with The Company, both willingly and otherwise
    • Alpha 5.1.X will extend the massage scenes with your mom, which will allow for an alternative incest route
    • It’s a little weird writing so much content for part of the game that I know many people will never touch, but that’s part of the process
    • There was one scene in Rick and Morty S03E07 that had me laughing a little more than I should have been… um, for a friend
