You got home very late. You walk into the little apartment to see her sitting alone on the couch. You didn't know what to say. You knew something had happened.

You couldn't believe it. "So, how was the trip?"

"Oh, it was great. We have a lot of fun. Your boss and I had a blast. We hang out with his friends and do some sightseeing. It was a nice time. You should come with me next time."

"Um... Yeah. Maybe." You said it, not knowing how to reply. "So did anything happen?"

"Nope." The way those four little letters dance off her tongue reveals something else. "Everything was fine. Don't worry. I'm here. I'm yours."

"Well good." You said you were not believing her.

"I'm going to shower and go to bed." She said this as she walked towards the bedroom.

You couldn't believe that she was telling the truth. Your heart was telling you something was wrong. You ask her. "Can I come in there with you?"
