The only other movie that comes to mind that is a modern take on an ancient greek story is 'The Warriors ( 1979 )' which is one of my favourite movies. Loosely based on Xenophon's "Anabasis".

When I was 10, 2005, my dad showed me The Warriors movie. Then a month later the video game came out and I was obsessed with the game for almost 5 years. To this this day, the game is still in my top 5 favorite games of all time. When John Wick 4 came out, i told my dad that i loved how there was a bunch of references to The Warriors. My dad said that there wasn't any reference to The Warriors in John Wick 4 at all and i was like "did we watch the same movie?".
