The lurid imagery and production design on this have always been the biggest selling point imo. The world looks so distinctive and Alex Proyas does similar things in his other films. Glad you enjoyed the movie :)

:-). I took a glance at his IMDb page and was surprised to find out that the director of these two films went on to direct Gods of Egypt. (Though I didn't see Ra the sun god listed in the movie. :-) )

Connections: Chad Stahelski has/had trained at the Inosanto Academy of Martial Arts in California. There are lots of stunt/fight people that came put of that academy. The founder, Sifu Dan Inosanto was close friends with Bruce Lee. Bruce Lee is the godfather of Dan Inosanto’s daughter, Diana, who is Magistrate Morgan Elsbeth in The Mandalorian and Ahsoka. Also out of the academy, Sifu Jeff Imada, who was the butterfly knife/baton guy in Big Trouble in Little China.

I'm a little offended that George hears Nine Inch Nails covering Joy Division and thinks of Him. Michael Wincott (the big bad) is my favorite "Hey, it's that guy!" He's great in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and the seldom seen Seraphim Falls. The mom is in Unforgiven, also.

Crow 2 is good for what it is IMO, but maybe not good enough for the channel.
