It feels like the Marquis was right, with his speech at the card table: "You know why you won't take your freedom? Because this is who you are, who you've always been. You are a killer, an orphan we plucked from the street and honed into a knife, and it is the killing that gives you purpose. A man without purpose is nothing." While he was a killer, fulfilling his purpose, he was indestructible. The moment he was set free from that purpose, his energy faded, he collapsed, and then ceased to be.

Half way to film the video has few seconds slow

I had the rental for a couple days, so I decided to watch it again with you guys. I noticed the second time around that they blatantly said Wick was going to die at least 3 times throughout the flick, and Im just at the step scene.

I’m surprised no one has mentioned it already, but the whole business towards the end of the movie where the DJ inside of the Eiffel Tower is calling out where John Wick is to everybody listening and raising up the bounty is an homage/reference to 1979 movie called “The Warriors” directed by Walter Hill in which a DJ is used to taunt/direct gang members into tracking down a rival gang that everyone is after. It’s kind of an odd movie but worth a watch at some point I think.

I honestly wish they'd just end the franchise on the high note that they did. Hopefully the future stuff they make is great and I'm proven wrong, but to me I'm just worried they're going to run this into the ground. But these 4 movies as a whole are awesome. Chapter 2 is the weakest to me but still pretty great, and 3 is my favorite.

I found the ending quite beautiful and fitting for a film pondering death and consequences the whole time. What the world building here offers at least is the potential for many spinoffs. There is also the production/practical reason for Keanu to be 50+ in this movie and probably would struggle more with endless more, I hope that "John Wick" now is a mantle to be passed on and these chapters can end on a high note. For me this chapter really is the most beautiful one, creative throughout and full of so many perfectly lit locations.

Wherever the movie series goes, good or bad. These four movies really are genre defining films. Now when I see action movies I often compare them to this series. The action is realistic and brutal, but the characters and world are just the right amount of goofy that makes it fun to watch. And the set pieces are just amazing and really well planed out. Awesome movies.
