Saying this w all due respect..often times I feel you guys over speculate..which most movies doesn't get in the way (although it can sometimes get in the way of going for the joyride of the experience but I'm sure some viewers love it)... movies like this which have A LOT going on..I feel like the over speculation actually ends up causing you to miss stuff...but regardless it is def the type of movie a second watch is important...I was able to focus and catch much more the second time around

I'm someone who loves it, but they've also said a few times that they have to talk about something so they have enough material to make their reactions legitimate, for copyright reasons, and trying to understand what they're seeing is what's going through their minds, and therefore the obvious thing to discuss. I've been really impressed with some of the things they've figured out ahead of time in some reactions. They also have a monthly wrap-up now, where they've had time to digest, or maybe even rewatch, so they can have a bit more informed/correct discussion in retrospect, especially after reading all the info/correction comments.

I'm impressed how damn good at it George is some times. He has nailed upcoming plot points and plot twist in films multiple times. He should have been a detective when he grew up lol

I think it's easy to spot things another person has missed when it's a film you're either familiar with, or watched and then read about online. Sometimes when I watch movies I haven't seen in years I'm surprised at the connections I totally didn't make at the time, and I would have been paying attention too.

I understand exactly what you mean, and I have mentioned that they can self-spoiler the film they are watching. However, as Gary says, they have to talk about something and articulate their thoughts including what’s happened and how they see it playing out. And some of the predictions are spot on. To be fair these are the best reaction videos around (fact), so they’re doing it right. I knew this was part 1 of 2, but was still surprised by the actual cut off point - kind of like George and Simone at the end of Bladerunner, so was a little disappointed they didn’t get to experience that.

Miles had the first big traumatic "canon event" - his uncle (or aunt) dies and teaches him a lesson about responsibility in the process. "A police captain who's close to you does because you can't save him" is a second one. Which actually tells you something about Miguel's theory: obviously these events can change a lot. Sometimes they're only vaguely related to the original comic story. (Uncle Aaron isn't much like Uncle Ben at all, and Tom Holland didn't have his aunt die until quite a way into his career.) So it really doesn't make much sense that "diverging" from them breaks the universe. They're already diverging! What exactly is the difference between, "it happened differently this time, and that's as neat twist that makes this version original," (this time Gwen Stacey is bitten by the spider and Peter Parker becomes the Lizard!) and, "it happened differently this time, and that's a violation of canon"? Yet we saw a universe break pretty much the way Miguel said it would. Something else must be going on. (Personally I don't think Miguel's a deliberate villain, I think he's just misguided.)

Do remember that the goal of the video is NOT to watch a movie. Not for us, and technically not even for them. It's to put on a show, for us. Not saying the balance of things are always perfect, nor that it's always done in the best way. But it's not a usual moviegoing experience.

Is George good at it? I'm not complaining about the reaction style, just commenting on this specifically. He non stop speculates and tries to guess, yeah occasionally he'll get some hits lol. Again, no hate, or i wouldn't be subbed.
