mojo shivers

John Cusack was in a great action comedy called Grosse Pointe Blank where he played a hitman having a midlife crisis right before he decides to go to his high school reunion. Lots of action, lots of comedy—it’s me best friend’s favorite film so I’ve seen it 40-50 times.

For another great Cage role, check out The Wicker Man. Trash film, peak Cage!

George already watched that for CineCringe if you wanna look that up.

This movie is so ridiculous. I just love it. :-)

Ross didn't cheat on Rachel. THEY WERE ON A BREAK!

I know it is a very cringe movie with a bit of overacting but it is still a great deal of fun.

Please oh please do a reaction to Red and Red 2. (Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren…)

Fun fact! I flew a plane for a while - and when we put it back in it's hangar, we had to drag it manually. You also see in strong-person competitions that people can drag huge planes around. So yeah! I suspect a bunch of people being motivated sufficiently could indeed drag that plane out!

Grosse Point Blank and High Fidelity, please. Long shot request for 1408(theatrical version) also starring Cusack. Stephen King adaptation. Samuel L. Jackson is also in it.

Grosse Point Blank is so much fun. I'm honestly surprised it isn't a more popular movie. Great soundtrack, very funny and the action is really well done.

both of you being turned off by the scary doll shows you have never lived in a trailer park. You play with the toys you have, which are often thrift store rejects and things found on the side of the road.

YES!. Grosse Pointe Blank might be my favorite comedy ever, and High Fidelity is my second favorite Cusack film (I'm also a fan of the Savage Steve films he did).

That thing at the end is a pile driver. It's a tool for laying foundations on soft soil like river clay. As the name implies it drives down piles into the ground that anchor any concrete foundations poured on top. Here at the end of a European river delta they're pretty much mandatory.

This was fun. Two great follow ups: Being John Malkovich and Face/Off.
