Superman is basically a human plant. He goes through a sort of photosynthesis since his power comes from the sun's light so I ithink the idea is that he produces oxygen without having to breathe.

I saw this in theaters and I was dying. It's like Snyder was challenged to make the worst Superman film of all time while still convincing fans it was good.

I realize I'm a little late to the party with this one, but... There are two major issues with the DC Comics "Shared Universe." The two major issues are Zack Snyder and Frank Miller. Frank Miller was a comics writer who hated comics, superheroes, women, minorities, and himself. Zack Snyder loves Miller's work so he tries to capture the essence of hating all things hopeful. It is a terrible foundation for a shared continuity of superhero films. Everyone is sad, depressed, and all-around just bad. These movies (Man of Steel and onward) are not a fair representation of the DC Comics Universe. Please keep that in mind if you plan to watch any more of these movies... I am a huge DC Comics fan, and I have hated almost every single one of these live-action films because of Snyder and Miller's stink...

I completely agree that most DC Comics films have been terrible and not a fair representation. *Especially* Man of Steel (but also Superman Returns). How do you waste Henry Cavill so badly? And I'm bitter about everything Justice League adjacent (minus Wonder Woman) too. But I disagree on Frank Millar. Man has been responsible for some absolutely seminal superhero comics. Almost everything we associate with modern Daredevil, for instance. His work on Daredevil and Elektra doesn't make me think he hates any of the things you said.

The DCEU is garbage. They really need to start over and make sure Zack Snyder isn’t within 100 miles of production.
