I suppose its because of the hotel connection that I thought of it, but you would both love the TV series "The Night Manager" with Hugh Laurie and Tom Hiddleston.

Who Are These People

George, you asked about Willem Dafoe and I was reminded of 'The Lighthouse'. Watch it. Might not want to put it on a poll, the crowd here wouldn't vote it up, but it is an excellent movie that'll spin your head, one of the best Lovecraftian movies made next to 'The Color Out of Space' (which I also highly recommend, stars Nicholas Cage). In fact, if you want to make Simone go insane, do a double-feature.

Just so George doesn't have to test it, cats reach terminal velocity after about 5 stories. They have a natural ability to twist their bodies in space in a very short amount of time so they land in the optimal position. Cats have been known to land after falls of up to 12 stories and survive with minimal to no injuries.
