This is one of my favorite movies. It's got everything you could want: humor, action, love stories, political intrigue. It's friggin' great. If you guys haven't seen it, I would recommend Hayao Miyazaki's Princess Mononoke. It's got kind of the same thing going. It's honestly one of the most deeply cinematic movies I can think of. Which is weird cuz it's, ya know, animated. The dubbed cast is really good on that, too.

I was honestly startled to hear Simone say "she's so young!" about Michelle Yeoh. She feels like such an old soul in this movie. It was the first thing I saw her in that switched my view of her from "young female lead" to "badass elder". (Not elderly, just playing the generation who are leaders and parents.) You should watch Supercop (I forget if she was in 2 or 3), or Tomorrow Never Dies which is not a great movie but worth it to see how many North Americans were first.introduced to her. After Hero, of course.

These thumbnails are hilarious. Is it George or Simone that does the photoshopping?

This is a really amazing movie! I like the touch of the mystical in it. Well done, Simone and George!

There are many wuxia/xianxia romances, in case Simone was interested.

Hero, House of Flying Daggers, and Warriors of Heaven and Earth are visually beautiful movies I hope you get to do for YouTube. Warriors of Heaven and Earth is one of my favourite action movies along with 13th Warrior, which should also get added to a poll.

2:35 When I first saw The Name of The Rose (1986) (consider this a recommendation), I knew it was set in a monastery, but I didn't know that it took place in medieval times. You can imagine my initial confusion. (Yes, I did eventually get into Umberto Eco.)
