So. full disclosure. I thought I was voting for the OG film from '86. I should have known better, but when i see Transformers in context of movies, that's where my head will always go first.

Construction vehicle? Are you talking about the boom arm vehicle that skated through the bus and fought Optimus and got his eye punched out? If so that's a Buffalo MRAP (y'all apparently have/had 19 of them https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buffalo_(mine_protected_vehicle)), named Bonecrusher, and it was a Decepticon.

watching through this I had forgotten how ham-handed some of the scenes are. I do not think I would be able to sit through a rewatch of this movie in one go. Every "blockbuster" movie, and Micheal Bay film in particular I tell myself to turn off my brain and enjoy the ride but there is always some unanticipated extreme that trips me up and I start to lose my grip on my willing suspension of disbelief. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
