Last week I find out Simone is an android, and now that she's a member of Starfleet !! What a way to close out 2022. I'd love to see you guys get into some Wes Anderson films in '23.

I loved this video and seeing you put the films you watched in context and what you did/didn't like. I wanted to answer some of the questions you posted. -Why are some videos less popular: Some of this for me is availability/opportunity. I want to watch "Everything, everywhere, all at once" but it had a short theater run (I missed it), it went to VOD for purchase, and just recently came on streaming through one of the services I have. Once I watch it, I will watch the youtube video. However, I will instantly jump on a video of a film I've seen before so I think older movies (at least a couple of years out) are likely to have more views since you eliminate the "haven't had a chance to see it" contingent. I do make exceptions. I watched Arcane with you for the first time. I'll rewatch it but I seldom want to see a reaction before I've seen the original film or show. -What attracts me to reactors: I start by looking for my favorite films, which is how I found you (Saving Private Ryan, Shawshank Redemption, BTTF). I like genuine but not over the top reactions. I love the dynamic that George and Simone have in terms of poking fun, educating each other, references/random jokes, trying to make each other laugh, but also having genuine reactions if one of you cries or laughs out loud. I also like a variety of genres and you've done quite a bit of that. I follow some alone and some couple/group reactors but you're definitely one of my go-tos. -I think you also mentioned what movies may generate more interest and not necessarily movies with twists or shocks, which I get the appeal of. To me, I like seeing movies that have a cultural connection, either as touchstones that everyone is aware of (The Shining, Robocop, Terminator 2), but also great performances or effects (Interstellar, Shawshank), and cult movies (Snatch, one of my faves you've done). There are still tons of movies I think you would really appreciate because while you're honest if you don't fully click with something, you can still appreciate craftsmanship, good acting, good writing, fresh ideas. To that end, I recommend: -Boogie Nights: great performances, music, cinematography. A pain to edit (music and nudity) but truly brilliant. -Sunshine: innovative, visually stunning, fantastically cast, if flawed sci-fi film. -Scent of a Woman: Great Thanksgiving film but any time of year favorite for top-tier acting. Pacino won best actor and without question. -As Good As It Gets: Jack Nicholson won best actor for this film. Very unique comedy/drama/romcom. Unconventional but also tremendous acting. -Donnie Darko: definitive cult film. Recommend theatrical version (not director's cut). -Your Name: I know anime films are hard to keep on YT but it's truly a brilliant film period, not just animated. -Clerks: another touchstone movie of the 90's. -Contagion: I know Dawn of The Planet of The Apes was triggering COVID-wise but this is miles above that. I remember in theaters I saw it thought "I actually see this happening IRL" and here we are. It's more extreme but still jarring how accurate it was. -From Dusk 'till Dawn: The less you know, the better. -Black Mirror: This show swings in so many directions that it's constantly surprising and thought provoking. I think you would both love it. -Minority Report: Glad you're doing the Mission: Impossible series but this is another great Tom Cruise film. -Red Dragon: Prequel for Silence of The Lambs. IMO better than Hannibal. -12 Angry Men: One of my few "not just good but important" films to watch. Keep up the excellent work!
