Disappointed you didn’t include the two of you in the thumbnail

That's a challenging wank

Mike Minerals

The expression that Lloyd was going for was "rapier wit"... a rapier is a sword, so in other words a cutting or quick wit. And there's a pretty common GIF of Lloyd half-crying so much that he almost vomits. Cracks me up every time... glad it cracked you two up as well!

Tyler Foster

A handful of people calling for Ace Ventura in the comments here and on YT. I wouldn't say you should skip it (it's your channel), nor will I spoil it, but the first movie is built on something that has aged like milk and is quite unfortunate -- Carrey himself has even gone on record as regretting it. The sequel has its own issues, but they're more cartoonish in nature and not so mean-spirited.

Mike Minerals

I could've sworn that Simone did the "Mock... yeah!" bit on one of their intros, so I thought they'd seen this movie before... good to see Simone confirming that she's just seen that one scene before :)

i miss the time when i was young and found jim carrey funny xD sadly nowadays its only cringe to me

Are you guys flattered that Dasha copies everything you do?

Cinebinge

within the reactors community we don't see each other as competitions but as peers, in fact we try to learn from one an other and offer each other advice. so to us, there is no such a thing as copying.

Anonymous

Who is Dasha? #lol… there are no copy cats. No one can copy Simone‘s cats 🤪😉

Such a 90's classic! In case you guys were wondering, the main difference with the unrated version is that the theatrical version cut out all the gay joke moments (like Lloyd talking to Harry in the hot tub), and you don't see most of the scene involving Sea Bass in the bathroom with Lloyd.

redddfer44

Other differences I noted were the grossest things at the diner, Harry emptying the toilet, and the girl taking a pee.

Who Are These People

The same people subscribe to the same reactors, suggest the same movies, vote for the same ones. Compare the lists each reactor displays at the end of their videos; lots of similar names.

How likely is it, to you, that creators actually watch their peers' videos and then do 'first time' reactions to the same movies? I've always suspected that, for a lot of channels, they aren't actually going in as blind as they claim to be. I don't think you guys do that, as you're pretty open whenever one of you has already seen something, but it just seems like the odds of SO many people not seeing the same famous movies and then posting reaction videos of all those movies around the same time can be a bit suspicious.

Anonymous

I might be biased because I grew up watching the theatrical version, but I think it's better than the unrated cut. Going too far with gross-out, rape or homophobic jokes just didn't seem that necessary and I think the original edits do a good job or towing that line.

i dont think so, i think its absurd when people say "i cant believe you havent seen this movie" about ANY movie. pick any classic film, look at how much its made in box office and sales subsequent till today. does it exceed the entire population of the world from then to now? and thats assuming every ticket costs 1 dollar. of course not, so in reality, most movies havent even been seen by most of the US, much less other parts of the world. other countries which have their own film industries. Dasha being Russian, not having seen something in the US is hardly surprising. just like how George states that he grew up in China, which has its own booming film industry, 2 if you count Hong Kong. most people dont really care about american culture, even the most popular franchises actually, barely hits a quarter of the world. That is not the same as having never heard of a franchise or movie though. I am sure most people can recognize Tony Stark or Indiana Jones or Darth Vader, but that is not the same as most people having seen it. again all one has to do is look at the math.

I'm not talking about reacting to the same films. Of course people are going to react to the same films, that much is so obvious that I didn't think it needed to be said. I'm talking about identical thumbnail styles, identical like and subscribe cuts. Right down to the white line that outlines the photoshopped image for the thumbnail.

Travis Bounds

if you haven't noticed, it seems like all the cinema reactors are roughly non the same movie schedule

Who Are These People

Assertions without proof always pique my curiosity, so I checked. Actually: - Cinebinge only started using TV show titles in their mid-video 'Patreon' blurb about 2 months ago (it used to be a scrolling video of their Patreon posts); Dasha started that about 4 months ago. - Cinebinge only started the white-outline cropped images 7 months ago; Dasha started 11 months ago. - Cinebinge started including photoshopped elements of their movies 7 months ago with 'Independence Day', Dasha also 7 months with her Terminator outfit. - Natalie Gold has been using the 'First Time Watching' bar on her thumbnails for two years, Cinebinge for only one year, and Dasha for 11 months - Scott Herbert starting combing his bangs to look like 2010 Justin Beiber in 2016, the rest of the world had already forgotten who Justin Beiber was a year prior.

Scott, I dont know why that seems like such a big deal or like you've discovered some conspiracy or something. if one business found a way to make something work better, it makes sense that an other business of the same product would imitate it. plus we now have confirmation that reaction channels share what they learned with each other as they are peers. and it makes sense. its not like theyre mimicking each others personalities and opinions, its just thumbnails and subscribe locations. whether those are same or different makes no difference to why i like one channel over an other. theyre about as trivial as most stores have the "ding dong" chime when you open the doors. someone at some point realized it was a good idea, others copied it. big whoop

I don't have anything to say about the reaction or the movie. I just want to say that Simone's ad about the course she took ("How To Speak Confidently On Camera...") piqued my curiosity. I ended up signing up for a year, just on that example. Sorry, I didn't use the link in the description. They had a better offer for first time subscribers. Anyway, back to YouTube to watch the rest of the reaction.

Jeff I.

I agree, Sean. While I love the movie overall, those scenes felt like too much of a shift from the silly/dumb humor of the rest of the movie. Also, the one with the girl peeing had a good line (squeeze a lemon) that was a funny throwaway that could have been kept in the original, but the extra 15 seconds of her walking over and squatting down dragged it out too much (sometimes the old movie making phrase 'show, don't tell' works better the other way around).

Anonymous

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I'll get a haircut.

Chase Schleich

How could you forget to photoshop the chipped tooth?!! The hair looks great, but you've gotta fix Simone's perfect teeth by adding that chip.
