I really want to see a Hitch Hiker’s reaction! There are so many awesome ideas and jokes that most people have never seen!

I don't know. It's probably just me but for one reason or another none of the choices this time really excites me. Men in Tight is Mel Brooks but one of weakest works even though it has a very young Dave Chapelle in it, and the Hitchhikers Guide movie for all its star-studded cast (RIP Alan Rickman), vastly greater cost and better production values can't measure up to the TV adaption the BBC made in the early 80ies with their notoriously shoestring show budgets (imo). As for the rest of the contenders i know a lot of people are die hard Scott Pilgrim fans, the comic and the movie adaptation, but i just never could 'get' it. The male and female main character both felt so unlikable, and, for lack of a better word, soulless i can't care a damn about what happens to either of them. Zombieland and the Hangover each have their moments, but on the they're not really what i would call a classic or very quotable. Kung Fu Hustle is hilarious, but too niche to have any realistic chance of getting picked, and as for In Bruge i'm not even sure you can call it a comedy, even a dark one. Granted it has been a long time since i've seen it, but what from what i remember it was more depressing than actually funny. Guess i'll just have waste my vote on Kung Fu Hustle and hope for a more exciting (to me) crop next time.

In Bruges has some great dark humor in it, for sure, but it's hard to call it an outright comedy, as it deals with some very serious subjects. That being said, it's one of my all time favorite films, probably in my top five, and I want every YT reactor to watch it! Not enough people have seen this gem!

I love Mel Brooks but men in tights is just cringy. Can't believe it's getting so many votes.

Please vote Scott Pilgrim so I can shut up about it ;)

PaulChristopher

Is this Hitchhiker the movie or the original television series? I would vote for the series over the movie.

David Crabtree

I never understood the appeal of Scott Pilgrim.

Everyone has different tastes, if they didn't all the movies would be the same.

Hello there, If I may recommend one movie for a future watch I would definitely suggest Arrival directed by the brilliant Denis Villeneuve. I think you both would love it if you didn't see it yet. :)

Texas Anla'Shok

Haven’t seen Men In Tights in years. I thought it was hilarious the first time I saw it, but I kind of get the feeling the comedy won’t hold up. A lot of 90s referential jokes if I recall.

Yeah, i've seen it recently-ish and remember thinking that it hadn't aged well. Brooks is a comedy titan, but Men in Tights felt like it was stitched together out of unused scripts from the tv show When Things were Rotten that he produced in the 70ies.

To be honest i was surprised that the Hot Shots movies - either one, but especially the second - didn't make the list. They're very much in the vein of spoof movies like Airplane and The Naked Gun. Which isn't surprising since Jim Abrahams, the director, also wrote, directed, and co-produced those films, along with bunch of others, together with the Zucker Brothers, who were friends he'd grown up with in Milwaukee.

The Hangover.... not a classic? It was so good they made two horrible sequels. Not one, but two. And if you don't think of The Hangover as quotable, then you are literally too stupid to insult. Edit: "you are literally too stupid to insult" is a quote from The Hangover https://youtu.be/WLI0GMMbQaQ If you didnt know that quote I kinda sound like a jerk. I thought it was perfect for EPBF comment, no insult intended.

Are there forces beyond our comprehension at work here? Or is it coincidence that Scott Pilgrim versus the World is winning the polls this week? Which means it will be recorded Monday night, and will be ready to view the following Thursday. And is it coincidence that next Thursday happens to be Thanksgiving!! Pilgrim. Thanksgiving.

I thought Canadians had their own thanksgiving? or maybe I'm remembering wrong. -- I looked it up and I realized after I wrote this that you were being ironical....probably.

Andrew Roach

If you ever react to the Hangover at ALL costs react right thru to the end of the credits as what happens during the credits are perhaps the funniest moments in an already hilarious movie.

I just noticed there was a multiple options option lol, I originally voted for "In Bruges" as an excuse to watch it again. But I'm fine with "Scott Pilgrim" for the same reason. And I love "Hitchhiker's... " (the movie), I didn't even know until recently that there's a British show I now have to watch 😂

Nate Terry

Harry Potter and the prisoner of azkaban!

Rumpus Parable

Don’t know if you’ve read he 5 book Hitchhiker's Guide Trilogy, but if not you entirely owe it to yourself. Absolutely great!

I am surprised that someone hasn't said "Hallelujah!!", and you know who you are (as i post this after the polls have closed).
