I'm so glad you guys watched this! Mandy Patinkin btw cries to this day when he talks about this movie and discusses how special he feels to have been a part of this cast. It meant that much to him. Andre The Giant had to have Mandy phonetically say his lines for him and he had so many back problems he couldn't lift anything so every scene where he is holding them, their weight was held by wires. He used to warm Robin up by just placing his hand on the top of her head and she laughs that his hand was so big it was like a hat.

At this time in Andre The Giants life his Acromegaly(the condition that caused his size) plus his years as a wrestler caused him to live in chronic pain. so while I Agree that Andre the Giant could probably do the feats of strength depicted in the movie, all of those scenes were shot with assistance for the weight in accommodation for Andre. He was also really appreciative of the cast and crew for not staring at him like a freak, and on the last day of filming stayed as long as he could on set to take pictures with anyone who asked. such a kind soul RIP

I literally just watched Mandy and his wife reacting to a tiktok of a girl whose Dad loved The Princess Bride and she was asking him a question about the Count Rougen death scene. Warning the tiktok is emotional but I highly recommend. His tiktok user name is mandypatinktok
