Just an FYI -- Spiers was at the training camp -- he was in company D so he was not shown. The training camp focused on company E or Easy. He had not been at a bunch of different battles. Replacements were brought in to replace the 50% of the people they lost in Normandy. This was explained at the end of episode 3.
