I think Todd is similar to Walter, but to an extreme degree. He doesn't want to kill, or get any enjoyment out of it. But he'll do it without hesitation if he feels even the slightest bit threatened. Walter does the same thing throughout the series, always with the same "self defense" justification. However, I think Walter only ever kills others who are "in the game". I can't think of any instance of Walt killing anyone who's completely innocent (though he draws a different line when it comes to non-fatal poisoning, of course).

I really like this movie, it is good closure for Jesse and even with some villains added, makes the ending of the show even rounder. Style and genre wise, I would say this is a modern Western, with great tension, actual stand-off and personal justice theme, not many of those that work so well. Jesse Plemons is also great in Killers of the Flower Moon and Vice, I'm excited to see what he does in Kinds of Kindness. RIP Robert Forster.
