"Zussammen" - correct spelling is zusammen - does not mean "to arrange a meeting". It simply means "together". I didn't think anything bad of this movie when it came out. I mean, this clearly builds jokes around some of the broadest, and offensive stereotypes but as you say, it never feels excessively mean. The Fred Armisen scenes I can't stand.

Lood

Not another teen movie is also a great movie like this.

Unimportant reference info: the guy who drives them from Bratislava to Berlin (Croatian actor Rade Šerbedžija, who played Dr. Vladimir Nekhorvich in MI:2, the Russian scientist employed by Biocyte Pharmaceuticals for Project Chimera, who created the Chimera virus and its cure, Bellorophon, but I digress) rolled up and said "Where's the beef!?" That was from a series of dumb Wendy's ads from the 80s that people quoted to death back then (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1FZNYXKHwNw). He also rolled up in an orange vehicle with a 07 on the side, a reference to the General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard, an 80s TV show (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Lee_(car)). It's horn also played that same opening music. I remember kids had battery operated bike horns with a button that would play that tune. Anyway, the joke was that, being in Bratislava, they were decades out of touch with American pop culture.
