I assume most people worry that if too much time passes that it'll be harder for their shows to get on/win a poll since there will be less conversation and hype around it. You run into stuff like Bungo or SAO where the season we're voting for have been done for years sometimes and either the hype has fallen off (because realistically unlike me a lot of people don't care what you guys wanna watch, they just vote for the current hype series) or a lot of new anime watchers and younger people probably haven't even watched some stuff like SAO to begin with. There are tons of classics that even though they're all time greats will never win a popularity contest just because it's not the coolest newest thing. Just my guess honestly. I love Blue Lock but I would rather you guys get some stuff over with that's already been started. Blue Lock ain't going nowhere especially with more content coming.

I agree, most people are voting for what is popular currently. Although we do get some gems like Demon Slayer and Jujustu Kaisen there are alot more older animes that are just as good or better. I've been trying to get Steins Gate and Future Dairy on the poll for years because I know Tre loves time travel based anime but it always gets overlooked because people want to watch SAO and Fairy Tale.

Yeah I agree. And I feel it makes it tough on shows that I know are particularly good but it will never see light of day since it's not a particular favored genre like mech.
