Azula is 14 years old I believe. Same age as Katara, and yes indeed she is a whole bitch. But in time you will start to love hating her because you recognize her strength and intellect. Them cutting off their hair is a cultural thing. You'll notice many, if not all, of the fire benders who are with the fire nation have their hair tied. Them getting rid of it is sort of a symbol of them leaving the fire nation behind and becoming fugitives because they know it's trash af. At least, that's what I got from it. As for why they didn't just untie their hair I have no idea, maybe it had to be cut lol. Aang's first fire bending teacher is an example of this, as he did not have his hair tied. Uncle Iroh did channel lighting one time in season one in the episode "The Storm". The Badgermoles were also the first earth benders and they taught the couple Oma and Shu how to earthbend. Sky Bison's like Appa were the first air benders and dragons were the first fire benders, however both are said to be extinct unlike badgermoles. The moon taught the water tribe how to push and pull the water. Although, I believe this was already said in episode 19. Great reactions btw, can't wait for more! Sorry for my essay.... I just really enjoy this show.
