The voice actor for coach Ukai died, was pretty sad, he was only 49, he had a brain hemorrhage I think. Kageyama's thing at the end is a training camp for the national team, they were gushing about Ishikawa being in the national team earlier, last season. Youth National team that is, for Olympics and things like that. So this potentially means they are going to be teammates in the training camp, which is weird. The only other sports anime to me up there are Baby Steps (about tennis) and Chihayafuru. Chihayafuru is so weird because the "sport" is basically slapjack with japanese poems as the trigger to where and when to slap, odd premise to us westerners, but it's hype as shit, and season 3 of it comes out next year.

I second the love for Baby Steps. I enjoyed Ace of Diamond (baseball) as well. Probably my 3rd favorite team-based sports anime. I admit I haven't seen THAT many sports anime though...

Now that I know about Coach Ukai's voice actor, that last scene always gets me in episode 8. It's such a great line!
