BitFlip Concepts: Weapons, Villains, and Allies (Patreon)

Got a whole smorgasbord of WIPs for you today folks, and some context too. Strap in and lets dive a bit further into the world of BitFlip! 

We've focused on BitFlip mainly, I mean, he IS the main character of the comic. Now it's time to meet some of the other characters that will appear in the first issue and future issues!

BitFlip fights using mainly his body, but when it comes to actually killing the viruses and malware, he resorts to The Wizard.

This is a specially made weapon that he feeds data he 'obtains' from his enemies, into. The Wizard then processes it and finds the kill code of that virus - the code that will permanently remove it from the system. Then BitFlip simply points, and shoots.  Getting to that point though, that's the tricky part!

I haven't designed weapons before, and it was nice to make a signature weapon for him. It's clearly based on guns, however, unlike real guns, The Wizard is built in cyber space, and doesn't have to follow the same rules of physics as real guns. The Wizard for starters, does not shoot bullets, but a kill code, specifically designed for killing a specific virus each issue. 

Villains: I wanted to keep the villains themed, so most are based on reptiles, as reptiles are cold blooded, and usually considered sneaky, dangerous and vicious. I did include other predatory type species' that I loosely based some designs on, but I thought keeping the villains and baddies somewhere consistent will help readers follow who is who in the stories. Plus, I really like reptiles =]

Next we have Byte! Byte is a single piece of a virus security software that BitFlip had relations with once, to get info on a corrupt politician in the real world. After copulating with BitFlip though, Byte gained some of the code monkey's knowledge and became self aware too. After realising he could do and be so much more, he decided to tag along with BitFlip and help him on his adventures. I'm currently playing with the idea of Byte being small and kind of weedy/nerdy, but having the ability to unlock a huge hulking fighting brute side of him when BitFlip needs help in combat. Byte is timid, he wants to see the world but is afraid, there's a lot he doesn't know understand, but puts his trust in BitFlip.

Last but not least, we have Connie.

Connie is the first real character we are introduced to, that lives in the real world, instead of in cyber space. Connie is an IT specialist that spent her time hacking into top government facilities. After a disastrous attempt to break into one system, she went into hiding. Now she steals from smaller but still affluent targets to make ends meet, but dreams of her glory days when she was seen as a revolutionary, toppling governments and exposing corruption with her data leaks. She is eventually recruited by BitFlip after she helps him in the second issue~

This is all the concepts and names as they are right now, as always with this kind of stuff, characters, names etc. are subject to change and alteration. Please keep that in mind as the project moves forward. Thank you <3
