Hey community, 'tis the time to be jolly! Despite the giant spiders that seem hell bent on feeding upon us!

I had to take a few days off for Christmas, otherwise my family would disown me.

The launch of AER v2 has been a bit rough. I mean, I knew that a major release like that would not be painless. But I'm aware that there are several problems that are crippling the experience for some of you.

In particular, it seems that my implementation is not scaling down as smoothly as I intended. With powerful cards it works great (and in fact if you're not afraid of doing lots of tinkering and are willing to mix 'n match different tools and mods, Brian Tate has written an awesome guide to make the experience in FF7R even better).

But the main point of AER v2 was making VR run fluidly for users with middle-range cards, and it seems that I still have a ways to go in that regard.

Update: now there's also a video by the good doctor himself, Dr Greg VR, that will help you optimize the mod on both midrange and high-end systems!! Check it out here.

I'm also aware of the performance problems with Grounded in multiplayer mode. And to add insult to injury, beta testers are having trouble with the game(s) that I'm planning to release next week, due to a crash at startup that I've been unable to reproduce for the moment.

But as you know, I don't surrender easily :-) In January I will do my best to sort everything out and to make the experience as good as I possibly can.

I wish the happiest of holidays to all of you, my friends!

How does one become a beta tester?

Brandon(Post Maester)

Not sure if Luke is actively looking for more beta testers at the moment. Maybe in January if you have some specific uncommon hardware/headset that needs testing. By posting your interest I would say your offer is on the table :)
