January Update! (Patreon)

Hey everyone,

I hope you all enjoyed Version 0.20 I'm still working on Version 0.30. As you probably noticed, some of the characters are looking a little differently from when this project started. I've been doing my best to give some visual updates as I get better at tweaking the models and learning all of the tools. My first priority with Superheroes Suck was just getting out around ~2 hours of content for all of you to enjoy. Right now, the new priority has been making sure all of the characters are up to par before I do any more of their events. For example, those of you who spend a lot of time with Chrys probably noticed that her eyes are considerably less red now. Going back to re-do older renders would take months which I could be spending making new content, so instead I'm just trying to make them look better for future versions.

Of these characters, Riley and Missus Powell have been the most difficult to update. I've actually swapped out Riley's model twice before I even launched the game, and you can see her older model from the back in the classroom at the very beginning. At the time, each one of those renders took around 58 minutes, so I was loathe to redo them. Queen Unbreakable herself has been a constant issue, her skin tone is the only one in the group's that turns bright orange with my lighting system, forcing me to update her skin shade for each event (which is why it looks inconsistent). 

All of that said, this character update process has finished today! Harper, Chrys, Valentina, and many of the side characters were already done in Version .20, leaving just Missus Powell and Riley. I've attached their new looks below. Although, please note that Riley is in her Gym-wear for this - it's part of the new event I'm working on in tandem with the visual overhauls.

Version .30 should be releasing this February! I'm hoping to have it out by the middle of the month, but it may take another week depending on work. I'm picking up extra hours to pay-down the new place.
