Jaws (Patreon)

So I titled this "Jaws" because of my personal interpretation of a song with that name by Sleep Token, my favorite band. I know most interpretations give it a mixed or negative meaning, and it probably has, knowing the lore of the band x) But I found it around 2020 and thought of it in a different way back then. In many parts of the lyrics, I could see it matching some parts of the story of these two, and it definitely sounded "sexy" to me (like many of their songs xD)

That song along with "Drag Me Under" inspired the drawing below back then (yes, this is the drawing I made while crying, so, it's kinda important to me)

To me, both songs express an intense desire to be loved/consumed by a partner's love (In "Don't wake me up...", you may remember Avelyn saying" I want to intensely feel your warmth, I want to be consumed by the fire, come undone between your arms and fall down at your feet", because she feels that way) and admiration of the other's beauty. I don't want to spoil you too much by explaining how I interpret the lyrics in Jaws to fit their story, but yeah xDD Maybe a couple of lines don't fit at all, but the rest do in my head.

Just wanted to share that with you. Maybe I got it completely wrong and my interpretation is just the lyrics being twisted to fit the idea I have of these two, but I like it and it's *my personal* interpretation, so I think it causes no harm x) And in the end inspired me to draw and write, so, I guess it's not bad x)
