I found some props on sale the other day, so while waiting for the latest polls to finish, I thought I would try out a side project inspired by this ...

I'm thinking I'll have Natalie on her laptop, Sophie snuggling in to watch, and Yue as the barista serving Anya behind them.  Assuming my PC can handle all that, that is.

Yikes, my computer can barely render this.  I had to remove quite a bit, reduce texture sizes, and some other trickery, just to get it to work.  Looks like two characters plus a background is pretty much my limit.  So, I'm thinking I'll either not include Anya and Yue, or render them separately and crop the two images together, or just make a different pic with them at the counter instead.  Something like that.

In my attempt to get all four girls in there, I was experimenting with rendering the image in layers and then have Blender composite the image together.  However, some of the shadows and reflections are missing, mostly on the floor.  I have one more idea I want to try for the practice anyways, but I think in the end I'll just keep Natalie and Sophie, and remove Yue and Anya from the image.
