The Seven Year Retrospective #19 - What's A Girl To Do? (Patreon)

Welcome to our second official entry on the Seven Year Retrospective Top Twenty!  Also, given current events, I hope everybody has had as good a week as possible and is staying safe. You can find more of my opinions on current events over on my Tumblr where I've been sharing resources.

Number nineteen goes right back to the start of my days on Patreon and is a bodyswap story between a guy and his girlfriend, forcing the duo to begin experiencing life through the yes of the opposite gender. What's A Girl To Do? was one of my very first stories to explore gender swaps and certainly the first long-form story to do so, as I wasn't too far removed from my days solely doing captions back on Tumblr. 

Back then I was actually very cautious about doing anything involving gender swap as I was aware that a good majority of TF fiction on the internet (sites like DeviantArt, Nifty, etc.) was M2F and I had always wanted to set myself apart from that. As the M2M TF community grew though I felt more comfortable with experimenting with the type of content I was writing and began branching out much more, which ultimately resulted in stories like this one. In fact it's one of two stories featuring gender-related transformations that have made it onto this top twenty list. Perhaps the added sentimentality of it being the first story posted on Patreon that helps it stick out in my mind.

One of my favourite things about this story is the gradual memory and skill theft that the protagonist has done to them, with his girlfriend stealing more and more of his persona as the story goes on. Transformations taking places in stages is a fun story device I love playing with in my work. Having an asshole receive his comeuppance is also another fun plot that I continue to return to and although it's a little heavy handed here, I still think it works.

The featured model for this story is everyone's favourite hunky professor-turned-model, Pietro Boselli. What a delightful specimen to behold, and what a lucky girl Sasha is to find herself inhabiting such a prime slice of masculine beef!
