Review:

A pleasant surprise that JUST dropped without a warning.

The world will never have enough action H titles for me to get bored of. There's something in them, that even as janky and basic as they can be - they're still enjoyable to a degree.

I suppose when you play a normal game, the selling point is mainly the gameplay, and since in adult titles it's almost always secondary, then my expectations are lower, with an understanding that I'm probably not about to play the next GOTY. Which is totally fine.

And that's exactly the case we have with our girl Lista here.
Lista's adventure is an action platformer that borrows ideas from the Megaman franchise:
You have a charge gun with basic quick shots, and 2 levels of charge, although I found the charge to only be useful when you can't attack yet, so you can prepare a shot with a bit of a bigger punch to it. (full charge also knocks you back, which can be dangerous or just annoying)

Your other moves are simple WASD movement, jump, and a dash that you're probably better off not using in the air unless you know what you're doing, basically being an extended jump that you're locked into, with a bit of a forward inertia when you land.
On ground however, you get a quick forward movement with i-frames, which is far better, but still cannot be cancelled until it reaches max distance, so keep that in mind.

* You can upgrade your stats with credits collected by picking them up or killing enemies. You can also upgrade your jump to double jump and also get a faster charge for 800 credits each.

The game consists of 5 stages + tutorial stage.
You get to choose the stages the same way as in MM. Each stage has its own "gimmick" such as water stage, treadmills, collapsing platforms etc... but the gameplay remains pretty much the same, with repeating enemies across the entire game, and a somewhat basic platforming.

With that being said, you can still get defeated if you're not used to action titles, so easy mode was also included. I found it unnecessary regardless, because you simply start from the latest part of the stage in case you die.

Each main stage has a unique boss, and just like in Megaman - their own weakness, only that here it comes with what else, an H twist: Use the weakness on the boss and let it defeat you to watch an alternate H scene!

Yep, they made a whole new scene based on how you beat or get defeated by each boss!
There are a total of 37 high quality animated H scenes. The majority of them are obtained by being defeated by each boss normally or as mentioned earlier, by using the special EX move they're weak against, which you obtain from them after you defeat them once.

* You'll need to redo the stage after pre-selecting the EX move you'll use for the rest of the next stage (available at upgrades menu), or press TAB after you beat the game once to instantly switch between them.

Another way to obtain a THIRD alternative H scene is to land the final hit on each boss with the special EX attack you get after you beat the game.
So that makes it a total of 3 playthroughs to unlock everything. Is it worth it? I'd say yes, with the scenes being of such high quality, the whole process adds a bit of replay value to a game that shouldn't take you longer than an hour to beat on your first playthrough.

Even after all that, there are MORE hidden H scenes - Hidden in a stage, and others tied to the true ending.
Rest assured that the game does have a gallery mode included!

Overall I found the experience enjoyable, since it didn't overstay its welcome.
The stages were short, and there's even cute voice acting that to my 0 understanding of Japanese sounded like they were really getting into the Anime stereotype characters.

Lista's Adventure is a classic simple but entertaining H platformer that I can safely recommend to anyone, especially ACT titles fan, or even if you're just looking for another collection of well-made H scenes.
