RE: Hero Academia By Double-H

[Summaries]

Two games based on popular superheroes titles, where you start as a weakling hero-to-be that works his way up the hero academy ladder - both in power AND relationships...

Reviews:

Ok then, I figured this weekend we can go with one more themed post, because why the f not?
There are all sorts of interesting titles that can't quite justify a single post, but together they'll give you plenty of entertainment, plus something to look forward to in future updates.

I'll be honest - I was actually surprised how similar both of these games are.
So similar, that I had to double check if it was the same developer. With that being said, they're both worth checking out, and we'll start the first review with Hero Sex Academia:

Our game begins with our hero-to-be in his bedroom, trying to figure out his life by following his superhero dad footsteps.
You're greeted by your sister and your "well-equipped" mother, which I guess to try to make the upcoming events less weird - is referred to by her name instead.

From this point onwards the game becomes a point & click adventure, that at the moment is more of a Visual Novel (I suppose that's how it advertises itself as anyway), as it's still getting fleshed out. The locations to go to are very few, and for the most part you'll be clicking on NPCs and traversing the same rooms back & forth.

However, we gotta remember that a game of this type doesn't necessarily need to have a big world to explore in order to become enjoyable. I mean, look at Doki-Doki Literature Club for example.

I genuinely enjoyed the writing. It wasn't Jules Verne or JK Rowling, but it did deliver a light-hearted fun experience with a decent amount of sense of humor combined with the constant comical situations our hero gets himself into.

Part of the main experience is also to improve yourself as a hero by preforming Pokémon-style battles against training bots or other heroines. (you can also only have 4 different attacks)
You originally start without any superpowers, but thanks to a mutation in your DNA - you can absorb the power of other heroes by getting intimate with them.
I mean... yeah, can't say I've seen that one before, so that's a plus in my book!

As you can imagine with that concept in mind, this game has a lot of potential to grow as an H-game. Since its release it had plenty of updates that include tons of new H-able characters (21 in total), new mechanics, expansion of the story, and of course - new H content.

Speaking of, the animations are simple, but the artwork is beautiful, and totally worth unlocking as you keep progressing with the girls.
Rest assured that you won't have to figure out what to do, as all you gotta do is check the NPC status menu that tells you all of the objectives.

With so much content and regular updates, I'm absolutely looking forward to the future of this wonderful title.

Moving on, our next game that is shockingly similar called RE: Hero Academia:

This one came out about half an year after the first academia game.
It plays almost exactly the same, with slightly different turn-based combat, and an additional local shop that you can purchase items with.

The rest of it is the same - you wake up as a simple hero-to-be guy trying to figure out your life. Go to school, interact with the heroes (this time solely based on hero academia) and gain new powers, along with intimate relationships with all the girls.

Although this title is seemingly more "advanced", it was actually the simple concept of HSA that won me over. Doesn't help that the heroines in RE:HA look EXACTLY the same as the actual manga, which leaves me worried that with enough traction this project is going to take the footsteps of Poké-Con

The artwork is nice, but I did wish that it would try to stand out with better transformations of existing concepts instead of copying 1:1 and basically making a fan-fic H novel.

Overall I'd leave the judgement of its quality to you. It has far less H content than HSA, but I feel that I might be going too hard on it.
If you're already going down the path of superheroes H games, then I do recommend at the very least to check out RE: Hero Academia. We might be different strokes and you'll fall in love with it!

That's all for this weekend!
Enjoy these beautiful projects, and have an amazing week amigos!
