Review:

Well, the summary kinda gave it all out, but I'll elaborate here instead about my own experience and a few other things.

First of all, this game is in its own league in the H scene, hands down.
It's a full fledged gameplay experience with actual level design, variety of enemies with unique behaviors, and a good amount of 6 different and interesting bosses.

I'd also like to apologize for not putting up actual gameplay footage, but just the torture scenes instead. The reason behind that is because this game is EXTREMELY brutal!
YouTube is one thing, but it's so brutal that I'm even reluctant of putting up footage on Patreon just in case that might be against their ToS.

Maybe I haven't played that many Ryona titles in my life, but I mean, getting off dead bodies, drilling through eyeballs, pregnant chicks that "spawn" enemies out of their bursting bellies.
List goes on... it has it all, and it doesn't pull any punches, no sir.

I wrote so much about the whole concept that I didn't even get down to actual gameplay yet..
So you control Nevia - a sort of priest / mercenary with clothing that probably fit her better 10 years ago. From the beginning you are offered a wide selection of weapons for different playstyles. I favored the shotgun for being able to 1hko most enemies, and overall deals great damage with a drawback of long windup.

It's a proper action platformer where you gotta reach from one side to the other, going through hordes of enemies, hitting up a few switches, and climbing a bunch of ropes.
It's not revolutionary, but it gets the job done and keeps you interested.

I think what I enjoyed the most about the game (other than the very detailed scenes) is how well the atmosphere is set for each stage, especially with the background characters, that really give a feeling like its the end of the world and EVERYONE are turbo f***ed!

Regarding H content, you actually get from the moment you boot the game the option to unlock the ENTIRE gallery besides 2 ending screens.
The gallery is massive, and includes plenty of CG (not animated), game over animations, death animations of every single cast, and even a small illustrations gallery that shows a bit behind-the-scenes brainstorming.

Unfortunately you can't replay the torture "minigames" that are in the video of this post, rest assured however that I've assembled them for you, so you can contact me via DM for referrals.

My only grief with the game is that the devs padded it with multiple playthroughs in order to finish, by giving you new abilities that you will use on your next run to reach new areas. It's really unnecessary to make the player go through that 3 times, but at least they ramp the difficulty per run as well.

With great gameplay, wonderful gallery, and EXTREME brutality, I find it very difficult to not heavily recommend Graveyard executioner to any Ryona fan out there.

This is as good as it gets folks.

Graveyard Executioner is available on DLsite.
