Annie, thanks for this review which took me to Once in a Lifetime, which I somehow missed the first time around, but played this week and thoroughly enjoyed. What is your take on playing Eternum while it's being developed vs. waiting for it to be completed? I always worry about finding bugs, ending up with saved game files that won't be compatible in future releases, etc. so am more inclined to wait, but at the same time am very intrigued by your review. Also, do you know whether in the itch.io model, paying for the game once will get you access to its future releases, or whether there's the possibility that you'll need to pay again? Thanks!

Being able to play a completed game from start to finish can be an amazing experience. Playing as a game is developed can help build anticipation, but can also get frustrating. As for Itch, they effectively purged many developers this year so I'm not sure how committed they are to the adult games space in the long term.
