The Magical Gurl

Skyrim, Fallout 4, ESO, Fallout 76 all buggy messes upon launch. Why are we hype-training Starfield? I think the brakes need pumped anytime we are talking Bethesda... I hope it will be playable when its like $20 on sale. Thats my feeling about it...

Not sure it's fair to count ESO, since that's a Zenimax in-house product, just working with a Bethesda license. But the reason IS mods... Buggy launches notwithstanding, the Bethesda games enjoy a decade or more of relevance because they act as a framework for amateur developers and content creators... So since Morrowind they've never been *just* the packaged game; they've also been a very accessible and feature-rich equivalent to something like RPG Maker, or Unity, with a vast world to inject content into, a well documented toolset, a comparatively powerful scripting language, etc... I'm not excited to just play a new story and then uninstall... I'm exited to be here as a new sun rises on the next decade of endless content creation and community, and to explore and unravel it at the same time that everyone else is, not later when it's all noted in wikis and walkthroughs.

Australia has always been pretty wonky when it comes to video games. and didn't they ban sexual figures and hentai coming into the country a few years ago?
