I figured I should post this update here before anywhere else.

Very recently, on twitter, I posted about having a recent urge to work with clay again. Fun fact about your Rabbit Follower: I really like working with clay, and I even took sculpture and ceramics courses in Highschool.

Initially, I was just thinking about how it would be fun to make mini figurines or charms to sell online, or at cons. It could have stopped there, but then I realized, “hey, what’s stopping me? I can do that!”

The short version is that I’m going to start making things with clay in addition to my usual fare. It won’t be my main focus, naturally, but it helps to have creative things I can do outside of drawing, like how I write on the side or edit videos.

The long version? I plan on opening an Etsy. I’ll probably just be making cute little foods, animals, and objects, but that’s fine with me. Beyond that, I’d love to offer pre-made and custom charms as a reward to my patrons for donating. I may even do a promotion where new patrons will get a free charm. Commissions are a whole other ballpark, but I have a lot of ideas for things I could potentially offer.

When will this start being a thing? May. Hopefully. I’m really just waiting for my stimulus check. I have fewer commission inquiries, but I’m not hurting too bad, as I’m one of the few who can still work in my corona-rattled land. This said, I’m planning on using my money for business expenses, naturally, and giving this polymer clay / Etsy thing a swing. Hell, maybe it’ll get more eyes on my work? I know a lot more people who get practical use out of jewelry or keychains over a drawing.

That’s about it for now, but until we talk again, I hope you’ll stay safe and take care of yourself. All the best!
