A serious update. (Patreon)

Hi guys, TAD here! I know it's been a month since you last heard from me, but I needed a small break to mull things over now that the long-awaited update finally arrived last December. I hope you've all been enjoying it! :3

Now on to a more serious topic. The reason why I needed a month to mull things over is to question myself: ''Where to go from here with the game?'' You all might know that making a game can be very expensive; without your help I wouldn't even have made it this far, so your support is massively appreciated! You guys mean the world to me. <3

Anyway, it's the reason why I'm making this post to my Patrons only. I need your opinion, so please leave your thoughts down below after you've read this post in its entirety.

There's a reason why I made the second goal $250 a month: which is creating Northern Ruby Island. To make it just as awesome, or even more awesome as Southern Ruby Island, I need another six felines, and I had the intention to end the island with a boss. So that's seven new characters I have planned. But the problem is, the art for making those characters is expensive. My old artist quit sometime ago, so that means I have to find somebody else, and I also have to pay my coder, Tir, and two additional writers who help me with making this game.

You all might understand that with $60 a month, I'm not going to cut that. But I'd never would leave you guys hanging. We've come too far for me to call it quits before I even have finished one single island. I had so many things planned and I haven't even revealed much of the story yet whatsoever.

So, I come here today with this decision for you: I will give up on making Sapphire, Opal and Topaz islands; the other three islands that would have followed in the chain. I have too little financial support as of right now to realize it. But I do want to make Northern Ruby Island for you guys. Not only to give you some more characters, but also to give the story somewhat of a satisfactory conclusion.

I'm going cut a lot of what I thought up and make the story as sharp and concise as possible for Northern Ruby Island for all of your enjoyment. That way, there will be an ending, and I can look back at this project, which has been in the making for over two years now, with a smile on my face, and I do hope you will look back at this project the same way.

Now here's the thing; making Northern Ruby Island is going to take me time. I have to rethink the whole story: what I'm going to cut and what I am going to include. But that won't be the biggest part, the biggest part would be to get all the art. I've already poured a lot of my own money into this project as well, but if you guys are willing to support me to the end, I'll see if I can save up a bit on the side as well. 

I'm not going to lie: the next update will be the endgame then, and I want it to be perfect, so it's going to take a long time. Now if you're all willing to stick with me through the end, I know we can make it work out! So please leave your opinion below! :)

Now that we have that out the way, I want to end on a good note. I promised I'd reveal to all of you who are going to be the next characters, so without further ado, here's the first of the six new felines you guys will see on Northern Ruby Island, and she'll also play a massive role there. ^^

I love how nobody ever mentioned Puck. Maybe you guys just skipped this intro part and never bothered to read it, but she's the first feline you read about, but you never encounter her on Southern Ruby Island at all. Also, I know I call her a ''he'' in the intro; that's intentional. I'm not going to spoil why just yet. It will be revealed once you meet her. So here she is:
