Hiya guys, TAD here, back again, once again! For those who're in my Discord server and actually read these posts: I am doing well. I'll probably still be away for a few weeks at least. Until then, I hope y'all have been doing fine! :3

Now then, I am here because I want to show off the mock-ups I created of the final battle sequence. Phase two is something I shared in my last post, which is where the final sequence starts off.

To summarize, you have just accumulated enough damage to bring Amalynth down to 1% of her health and now, the final sequence starts:

Amalynth is down and out for the count. She can't keep flying any longer and starts to fall out of the sky.

You jump down from the platform to follow her down to the earth below.

Amalynth recovers and manages to slow down her fall to land on her feet, you do the same.

From here, we introduce a few quick time events (which will be very easy, by the way. This is all a cutscene up to this point. The movements will slow down and you just press the attack button to advance, which will flash as an indicator on the map). Amalynth will try to skewer you, but you slash through the thorn.

Next Amalynth tries to blow you up, time your attack and slash right through the exploding flower seeds.

Next, Amalynth tries to tail whip you. Time your slash and block her attack.

The cutscene continues where both run to each other for the final blow.

Here's the final quick time event, to deliver the final blow.

Congrats, you have defeated Amalynth!

She sleep for eternity now!

Just kidding. XD You wield a magical blade that can cut spells out of those who're possessed. This marks the end of the battle. You will have freed Amalynth and she will reward you properly for your brave actions. ;3

Now then, these are all mock-ups, but since I recently got the background for the battle, I figured to share the more realistic mock-up of the battle with y'all as well:

We'll probably play a little with the saturation of the background to make it a little darker, so it's easier to make out what's in the foreground and what isn't, but I hope y'all are as excited as I am! :D

And that's all for now. Next month, we'll start working on creating the animations for Amalynth's phase two. This will include her flying, growling, taking off, flapping her wings and even throwing a flamethrower attack! Hot! OwO

For now, I want to wish y'all a happy Easter coming up! Take care and I'll see y'all around! <3

Man, there is so much going into this project and this is only one of many dragons to desire!! I am starting to see this all come together and really looking forward to playing the demo when it is ready! If what you have for Amalynth is any indicator, this will be a great game! Wishing you well and the best, Tad! You and the team keep up the great work!
