...that I hope you'll find interesting.  I've trying to figure out what I might be able to offer you guys besides the chance to take part in deciding what my monthly Patreon exclusive will be.  I really appreciate your investment, so I wanted to give you something in return.

I've been looking around at what other Patreon creators have been sharing and one of the things that pops up a lot are the original Photoshop files (.psd) of pages and images.  I don't know how much interest there is in this, but some of you might find it exciting as you'll get to see how I construct my pages.

So here is the full original .psd file of THE MINX page 2.  Let me know if this is something that appeals to you and if you'd like to see more in the future.  Thanks!

As i'm not an artist and don't have photoshop i don't imagine i have any use for these. I tend to ignore these on every patreon i am signed up to but am i missing something? Are psd files bigger and more detailed than regular png or jpg? Is there a use for them for non-artists? Genuinely curious.

.psd files are very big. This file is about 31.6 MB and this is just a 8.5"x12" black and white page at 300dpi. When working in photoshop you can create layers of line art, color, tones, etc. Think of it like drawing on clear plates of glass. you draw your lines on the top layer and add colors and tones to the layers underneath. So you can add color and tone without ever disturbing the line art. That's just one of the many things you can do in photoshop. If your interested, a quick youtube search will give you more details. Other types of software use the same type of mechanics, even some of the draw apps you can find for the ipad. This may only be the kind of thing that only an artist would really be into as it's a great learning tool and the chance to see how other artists work. I'd kill to get my hands on some of Range Murata's .psd files. ;)
