Picked up an adjustable desk at ikea. Now that I am a full time comic artist (still freaks me out saying that, but I love it) I need to make sure I’m taking care of myself. Sitting for long periods can cause a lot of issues (back, arm, and legs issues, blood clots, etc.) some of which have been affecting me in the past few months. This should solve that issue as I can now stand and work whenever I feel the need!

I’m very happy with this desk! It’s heavy, but it adjusts easily (it has a crank), it has a cable organizer, and way more surface space than the sewing table I was using before (as shown in the last two pictures).

Thanks to everyone for making this purchase possible! Now time to take it for a test drive and draw some comics!

Fair warning... getting a good desk can lead to getting a second monitor which leads to getting a sound system and then you decide to build a tower and get an additional monitor for the tower and upgrade the sound from 2.1 to 5.1 and then you have to get a new desk chair cause it's been 5 years since you started on this neverending quest for the ultimate setup. But congrats. Always nice to see people making a good living doing what they love.

Oh man I’m getting flashbacks to college from that desk. Looks like a nice one though. And I see that Pepsi there. Man of fine taste.

Definitely a fair warning to bare in mind. My needs are for the most part simple, but I do plan to get a computer tower and XP Pen Display in a few months. :) My system is nearly ten years old at this point, and I just had a bit of a scare with my Wacom crapping out on me (turned out it was just the humidity), but for now, I am in a good spot! :)

It's funny Igot the Idåsen about a month ago! Also very satisfied!

While I am liking how the story is progressing, what happened to page 16??

Henri Black

Yep, that is definitely a desk *nods*

Going out for a desk and coming back with an ottoman would have been bad.

Wait, you managed to get out of Ikea without a map, compass and rescue team? 😲 Nice desk it is too. I hope it was worth the endless weeks of wandering that Labyrinth...

Last, and only time, I went to an IKEA, I mispronounced three product's names, and ended up summoning a demon. So that was fun.

Not gonna lie...we did wind up going in a circle and using one of the maps to find our way at one point. ^^;

It's a crazy place! I mean, I do enjoy shopping in Ikea but it's way too easy to get lost in their stores
