Weekly Update 01.11.2021... (Patreon)

...we are back to finishing a page a week while I’ll also laying out the bonus comics as well as going over the script and story board for chapter 6 and 7. The plan is to have a new page for you guys this week. :)

I’m just gonna keep making pages until February comes around. At that point I’ll have enough of a buffer to work on a the Gurp’s Resurrection comic. I also have a bit of gift art I want to do for some friends.

Mel and I sat down and workshopped our comics for a bit and she taught me a really interesting trick that got me over a bit of artist black I had this weekend: storyboard your comic on newsprint paper with ballpoint pen. It forces you to commit to what you’ve drawn. If you can just erase it and start over, then you’ll keep working on page one until it’s perfect and never move forward. Why newsprint paper? Because it’s cheap and not fancy, so drawing on it is a lot less intimidating. I always get nervous drawing in my fancy sketchbook. ^^;
