...we are back in business! Thanks for your support, encouragement, and patience this past month and a half. You guys are awesome!

First update of the year is a little late, but funny story, I got lost on the way to the store yesterday. I don’t know the roads yet and my phone died, so I spent a couple hours exploring, trying to find my way home, which I did. Funny in retrospect, but spooky how dependent we are on our smart phones. Tried buying a map at a couple of gas stations, but surprisingly, no luck. Weird. Got home and started printing some local maps, just in case. ^^;

My plan for this week...draw comics! New pages and posts coming soon!

Have a great week everyone!

Well, it gave you a chance to get accustomed to the new area. That's worth something all on it's own.

Yeah, I guess now that everyone has google maps on their phones, it's not really worth it for gas stations to carry maps anymore... Looking forward to new pages! Yay!

Definitely get a battery pack. There are many good ones of different sizes. I've carried one with me ever since I was downtown in the rain at night with a dead phone, missed the last train home, and had to wander around (with some written directions from a nice transit employee) trying to find the bus stop with the night bus home.

oops, glad you could find your way back at least and that's weird they don't sell maps

If you can’t find a map on its own you can also check phone books. When I was in college I tore out maps from a phone book and kept them in my car.

Poor guy. I can see how that would happen though. There’s a lot of my old home town that remains unexplored to this very day.😅

That...that sounds awful and frustrating. You got a good story out of the deal though. I have a small battery pack but having a bigger one is a good idea. I think the real issue was the cord I was using. New cord is doing the job now. :)

I once got lost--twice!--in New Jersey, driving late at night to my motel in the Philadelphia area. I didn't have a smart phone in those days, so I had to rely on people's directions...which weren't always that reliable. :/
